Sunday 3 March

  • Moderator | The Moderator begins his final presbytery tour in Monaghan today. Pray for grace to preach the gospel with courage and conviction, along with wisdom and stamina needed to honour Jesus in all the opportunities that are planned for him.
  • Worship: Expecting God’s presence | As we worship today ask God to help us to come expecting to meet with him and seeking his face.

Monday 4 March

  • Edwin and Anne Kibathi, global mission workers, UK | Pray for Edwin and Anne currently on a visit to Kenya, that they would know much encouragement as they reconnect with family, friends and colleagues in ministry. Pray for the various ministries of PCEA UK Outreach, especially that the children and youth who attend church school would continue to grow in knowledge and faith.
  • Theological Education by Extension, Malawi (TEEM) | Pray for Rev Chimwemwe Mitengo, Executive Director, that he and his colleagues in the TEEM office may know God’s sustaining grace and guidance as they take forward the work.

Tuesday 5 March

  • Dan Rosbotham, community outreach worker | Pray for Dan and his work amongst the congregation of Ravenhill Presbyterian and the local community, that God would guide and equip him so that others may know the hope of Christ.
  • Westbourne Presbyterian Church | Pray for Westbourne’s new elders elect as they take up their roles following ordination, and for the congregation as they prepare for Easter outreach. Pray for a developing working relationship with Mountpottinger Presbyterian as the churches explore ways they can cooperate.

Wednesday 6 March

  • Naomi Leremore, global mission worker, Kenya | Give thanks to God for the opportunity Naomi has to serve the children in her local school’s Sunday school. Pray for Naomi and the family, that the practical process of obtaining passports will go smoothly.
  • Presbyterian Church in Myanmar (PCM) | Pray for an end to the civil war in Myanmar and for PCM members who continue to be forced to flee their villages due to ongoing bombardment by government forces.

Thursday 7 March

  • Strand Presbyterian Church | Pray for Strand congregation as they gather to worship each Sunday, asking that they would grow in faith and fellowship with one another.
  • Paula Burrows, deaconess, Ballygrainey | Praise God for the desire at the ladies Bible study groups to dig into God’s Word. Pray that the Holy Spirit would continue to transform their hearts and minds, and that God’s love would be tangible through the pastoral care of the congregation.

Friday 8 March

  • Tritonville Close | Established in 1948, Tritonville Close is a complex of sheltered accommodation for older people in Dublin, and was PCI’s first project in the Republic of Ireland. Pray for Richard Zipser, manager, for wisdom and guidance in caring for residents. Pray for all those involved in the daily lunch club, and give thanks for good relationships between staff & residents.
  • Referendum | Pray for referendums that are going to take place in the Republic of Ireland today. Pray that in this rapidly changing society that we live in, that we will be able to uphold biblical truths.

Saturday 9 March

  • General Council | Pray for the many General Assembly Committee meetings being held over the next number of weeks. Remember especially the General Assembly Business Committee, its convener, Rev Roy Mackay and the General Assembly Advisory Committee, convened by the Clerk, as they meet during the incoming week.
  • Training in Ministry | The Council for Training in Ministry meets on Thursday 14 March. Pray for its convener, Rev Andrew Faulkner, and for its work as it oversees the work of Union College, training ministry students and deaconesses, accredited preachers, the Conciliation Panel, and transferring ministers. Pray that the Lord’s will is done in all of its work.
