Sunday 3 December

  • Moderator | Hebrews 1:3 “The son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the majesty of God.” Take time to worship God who, in Jesus, perfectly communicated the character and work of God.
  • Worship as an act of faith and love this Christmas | “‘I am the Lord’s servant,’ Mary answered. ‘May your word to me be fulfilled.’ Then the angel left her.” Luke 1:38. Pray that we might approach worship this Christmas season with all that we are, offering our lives afresh in faith and love to God.

Friday 8 December

  • Scams | Many older and vulnerable people are falling victim to scams. They are targeted and exploited by telephone, email and postal methods. Scams not only result in financial hardship for the victim but can have a serious impact on the mental health and wellbeing of individuals. Vulnerability to scams is often the result of loneliness and isolation. Pray that we will all become more aware of those who are lonely and isolated in our communities.
  • International Relations | With many different crises happening across the world pray for global leaders, that they would make wise decisions and seek outcomes for the good of all people. Pray especially for those agencies and organisations which support displaced peoples in countries which often do not have many resources to meet this demand.
