Sunday 2 April

  • Moderator | “When he drew near to the city, he wept over it”. Surely our world calls forth tears, tears like those of Jesus that were not in vain – so may we be moved to pray.
  • Worship: Palm Sunday | Ask that God would help us give voice to our worship of Jesus the humble servant King from hearts that delight in his love.

Monday 3 April

  • Naomi Keefe (global mission worker, Brazil) | Pray for Naomi as she shares in evangelistic events planned for Easter and that all who participate would be given boldness and courage in sharing the gospel.
  • Latvia | Pray for Artis Clemins, Director, and the visiting tutors at the Baltic Reformed Theological Seminary, Riga, as they teach the Bible School and Seminary Programmes for the local church leaders.

Tuesday 4 April

  • Heidi England, deaconess in Railway Street, Lisburn | Praise God for spiritual growth in the various ministries, and for an encouraging attendance at the Bible study. Please pray that a new Link-Up initiative will be fruitful in helping to deepen our church fellowship over a friendly cuppa.
  • Carndonagh, Greenbank, Malin and Moville | Pray for an increased spirit and desire in the congregations to have the great commission as the focus of their faith lives. Pray for clarity and guidance as the four churches seek to appoint a community outreach worker.

Wednesday 5 April

  • Gary and Mary Reid (global mission workers, Kenya) | Pray for special meetings taking place over Easter weekend at Ewang’an Worship Centre, for those teaching God’s Word and for the Holy Spirit to work mightily.
  • Indonesia | Give thanks for the recent Annual Meeting of The Christian Evangelical Church of Halmahera (GMIH), and pray for the church to be strengthened in their holistic mission endeavour.

Thursday 6 April

  • Dan Rosbotham, community outreach worker in Ravenhill | Pray for Dan as he seeks to make connections with young people in the local area who don’t have links with church, pray that good relationships will be built and that opportunities to share the good news of Jesus will arise.
  • Craigavon | Pray for wisdom for the congregation as they elect a new committee. Pray for Jordan and Sarah Jones as they prepare to join Craigavon in June when Jordan will serve as assistant minister.

Friday 7 April

  • Social Witness | Pray for the HR Dept as they support managers in staffing each of our services with people who have the right skills & experience for each role. Ask that the right candidates will come forward & that selection panels will have the wisdom & discernment to know God’s will in making their decisions. Pray for the recruitment of new care staff in Sunnyside House, where staffing levels are extremely low, posing a threat to the service.
  • Education | As pupils and staff take time off over the Easter holidays pray that this would be a time of refreshment. Pray especially for students preparing for examinations that they would find good rhythms of study and rest, and that they would have an assurance and understanding of God’s plan for their lives, whatever the results.

Saturday 8 April

  • General Council | On this day between Good Friday and Easter Sunday, pray for those you know who have been struggling over this last period of time. Pray that God might be with them in the darkness of their struggles and that they might know something of the resurrection hope that comes through Jesus Christ.
  • Training in Ministry | Ministry students have reached the end of a very busy semester. Pray for them and their families that they will have opportunity for refreshment over the Easter break, with a clear focus on the joy and hope of our Lord’s resurrection.
