Sunday 19 March

  • Moderator | Pray for the Moderator as he meets his fellow church leaders this coming Friday at the meeting of the Church Leaders Group (Ireland). Pray that the Church leaders might be enabled to speak together on significant issues for the common good of our society, both in Northern Ireland and in Ireland.
  • Worship: Exploring God’s truth | As we worship today ask God to help us to do so with hearts open to his Word and ready to explore what it means for our lives.

Monday 20 March

  • Edwin and Anne Kibathi (global mission workers, England) | Pray for the Kibathis as they engage in outreach and offer pastoral care to East African expatriate fellowships in East London, Reading, Luton and Birmingham.
  • Persecuted Church | Pray for those PCI partners in India, Pakistan, the Middle East and parts of Africa who are currently enduring persecution, that they would be strengthened in their worship and witness.

Tuesday 21 March

  • Joanne Dunlop, deaconess in Craigavon and Antrim Area Hospitals | Pray that Joanne would daily be renewed and refreshed by time being still, reading God’s Word and that every conversation would be directed by his Holy Spirit. Pray also for ongoing opportunities to connect with and encourage hospital staff.
  • Church Planters Network | Pray for the meeting of the PCI Church Planters Network that is taking place today in Dundalk; that it will be a time of encouragement and learning from each other.

Wednesday 22 March

  • Csaba and Ilona Veres (global mission workers, Romania) | Pray for Csaba and Ilona as they seek God’s direction for their future and that God’s kingdom would flourish in Roma communities in Hungary and Romania.
  • Leaders in Training | Pray for Revs Brian Theu and Thomas Nyang’ama from Malawi who, with scholarship support from PCI, are currently in their final year of PhD Studies (by distance) through Aberdeen University.

Thursday 23 March

  • John McCandless, community outreach worker in Mountpottinger and McQuiston | Pray for John and all of the outreach activities he is involved in, that connections would be built with the surrounding communities and that people would be drawn to Jesus.
  • Clones, Newbliss, Stonebridge and Ballyhobridge | Give thanks that most people are back in church after the Covid-19 pandemic. Pray for a full return and especially a full commitment to Jesus Christ. Give thanks for the new youth group in Newbliss and pray for good friendships and Christian teaching and influences.

Friday 24 March

  • Sign Language Week 2023 | Give thanks for sign language and those who facilitate sign language classes within the Kinghan Church. Give thanks for Kinghan and the blessing it is to the deaf community. Pray for Judith Currie and Claire Nicholson in their roles; remember all the activities that take place in the Church throughout the week.
  • Graciously Confident Gospel Engagement | Pray that those attending the forthcoming event on Saturday 1 April will be equipped and inspired to engage in the public square with gracious gospel confidence. Pray for the speaker, Dr Nathan Mladin, and the panel guests as they make their final preparations.

Saturday 25 March

  • General Council | Pray for the AGM of the Irish Council of Churches, in its centenary year, being held at Limerick Cathedral this coming Thursday. Give thanks for the work and witness of ICC over the past 100 years.
  • Training in Ministry | The Linkage Commission meets next Tuesday, 28 March. Pray for the Commission as it seeks to take an overview of the denomination in providing resources for ministry, especially at this time when there are fewer ministers than vacant congregations. Pray too for Rev Ker Graham, its convener.
