Sunday 14 May

  • Moderator | Accepting Saviour, thank you for planting in my heart a love for you that is real despite my own brokenness and betrayal. Forgive me when I judge others who fail or fall on the road of faith. Replace my easy superiority with a mind and mouth that demonstrates gospel acceptance.
  • Answering God’s invitation to worship | Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker’. Psalm 95:6. Ask God to help us to approach him in humility, wonder and awe as we worship today.

  • Middle East | Pray for the Moderator, Dr John Kirkpatrick and Rev Uel Marrs, who are visiting with PCI’s partner church, the National Evangelical Synod of Syria & Lebanon, and other partners in Beirut, Lebanon, 14 – 20 May.

Tuesday 16 May

  • Rev Kenny Hanna, PCI rural chaplain | Give thanks for all those who were involved in hosting a PCI stand at the Balmoral show and in particular for those from Dromore Presbytery; that their actions and words will point the many people they engaged with to Jesus and his love for them.

Thursday 18 May

Friday 19 May

  • Older people | Many older and vulnerable people are falling victim to a wide range of scams. They are being targeted and exploited by telephone, email & postal methods. • Oireachtas | A joint committee in the Oireachtas has been established to explore how the law in Ireland might change in relation to ‘Assisted Dying’. Pray that, rather than introducing new legislation, the TDs and Senators on the Committee would consider enhancing provision for palliative care, particularly in rural communities.
