United Mission to Nepal |Pray for UMN Executive Director, Dhana Lama as she and her colleague, Ramesh, conclude a visit to Mugu and Surkhet, especially for safety in travel and that they would be aware of God’s presence with them. Pray also for God’s guidance in the appointment of a new Cluster Team Leader in Mugu.

Sally Moore, community outreach worker, Second Randalstown | Pray for Sally and the team as they serve the congregation and local community in Randalstown through children’s ministry and wider outreach. Pray that the love of God would be made known.
Galway| Give thanks for the congregation in Galway. Pray that as they meet to worship the Lord week by week, they would grow deeper in faith and fellowship.

Volker and Jinhyeog Glissmann, global mission workers, Southern Africa | Praise the Lord for his guidance as Volker and the team set up a network to address how to go about creating TEE (Theological Education by Extension) learning materials.
Presbyterian Church in Myanmar | Pray for an end to the civil war in Myanmar and for PCM members who have been forced to flee their villages due to bombardment by government forces.
Thursday 18 January
Rev Gary Aitcheson, prison chaplain |Pray for Gary and all of PCI’s prison chaplains as they share the message of Christ with those in prison. Pray that they would know the Lord’s strength as they support inmates in each of their specific situations.
Greystones | Pray for the members of this congregation as they gather for worship, that the Word of God will go out each Sunday and would be heard and understood clearly.
Friday 19 January
Mental health | None of us knows when we or those known to us will suffer poor mental health.Resources areoften difficult to source and mental health cases have risen significantly due to financial strain, unemployment, family issues and drug and alcohol misuse. Pray that there will be adequate funding for Health Trusts to provide services in the community. Pray that God will be close to those suffering from depression and other mental health problems. Grant patience and wisdom to families and carers.
Palliative Care | Give thanks for those medical staff who provide care to those coming to the end of their life. Pray that in the face of limited resources and mounting pressure to change the law to legalise assisted dying, that they would continue to be able to respond effectively and compassionately to ease pain and suffering.
Saturday 20 January
General Council | Pray for those who work in the Buildings and Conferencing Department in Assembly Buildings. Pray that as they facilitate many external conferences and meetings, their attention and care for those they engage with might be a positive witness.
Training in Ministry | The Linkage Commission meets next Tuesday, 23 January. Pray for the Commission as it seeks to take an overview of the denomination in providing resources for ministry, especially at this time when there are fewer ministers than vacant congregations. Pray too for Rev Ker Graham, its convener.
