First Good News – Sunday 31st May 2020

Hi everyone and welcome again to ‘First Good News’. You’ve been busy this week outdoors, indoors, golfing and someone has had a birthday!

To get us started some lovely gardening photos:

Friday’s wind did some damage to the garden, but as you can see all is sorted!

For someone else it was indoor work: one cabinet of crystal washed and ready for the next church sale and another still to do:

Now, that’s a lot of crystal!

I think we should also give a mention to those who have children and grandchildren at home while schools remain closed and now find themselves involved in school work every day – trying to make it fun and sharpening up their own maths, English and science skills. A clap for the home-schoolers!

Our very own Master Chef has been baking again:

Victoria Sponge and Empire Biscuits.

(Worked out who it is yet?)

Someone’s had a birthday. Cake eating and doing jigsaws can be a tiring business!

And the golf courses are open! Recognise anyone?

‘Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love,
that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.’ Psalm 90:14
